Software designed for Suprema, a company specialized in the registration of trademarks and patents. To comply with my non-disclosure agreement, I have omitted confidential information in this case study.
The software project was designed to facilitate, organize and automate the processes related to trademark and patent registration, making employee communication faster and in a more efficient way.
The software user interface and user experience were designed based on user needs, respecting the brand identity and making navigation intuitive.
Workshops and user interviews were performed during field research immersive into the users' workstation. These activities helped us to understand how people behave in the real work context.
The data collected was compiled and analyzed to create personas and user journeys.
At this stage, we've started a competitive analysis of existing software to map all the functionalities and connect the standards that are being used in order to identify innovation opportunities.
The storyboard tool was used to illustrate user actions while using the product. It helped us to translate the real situations of everyday users in a visual way.
Sketches and low fidelity prototypes were very useful to validate concepts quickly and test layouts possibilities.
The design team chose some main ideas to create navigable prototypes. Prototyping is a quick and inexpensive way to validate and test an idea with users without having to develop the product.
Validation workshops were done to validate the interface elements. The development team was involved in order to have as much data as possible tested and validated before development starts.
The visual design and style guide were designed respecting the brand identity
